When figuring out your poker pot odds, you will need to determine how many cards are present in the deck which would make your hand. To do this, figure out how many cards still in the deck would allow you to complete your hand. After you have determined this, you need to multiply this number by 4. The number you get will be the percentage for the flop. You’re not quite finished yet. Next, multiply that number by 2. This figure will give you the percentage estimate from the turn. This formula also works great for the river card. Your aim is to be on the look-out for 1:1 odds. When your odds are 1:1 You have a good chance of winning the hand.
Your pot odds help you determine the probability that you will win the pot or the game. The pot is the amount of money up for grabs. If you have a good chance of winning you will want to proceed. If you do not, you will probably want to fold and give things ago the next game.
