Laak Battles Andrew Pantling For His First WSOP Bracelet

Phil Laak recently battled it out with Andrew Paintling to become the £2,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Champion at a recent WSOP event. This was Phil's first ever World Series of Poker bracelet. Though, he as competed well in these events, making several finals tables, he was never ever to take home a championship. Those failings are now in the past. Poker professional, Phil Laak was born in Dublin Ireland but today resides in the United States, splitting time between San Francisco and Los Angeles. If you are searching for a poker player who has been on the nationally aired TV shows more than any other player then it has to be Phil Laak. Born in Dublin, Ireland in the winters of 1972, Phil now resides in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Laak had an inborn talent for playing poker and was quick to pick up the intricacies of the game at an early age.
